Azure Husbandry Anasazi Sweet Corn Seed, Organic

With summer on its way, there’s lots of planning to do if a productive garden is what you’re hoping for. Choosing the right seed varieties can be just as important as the climate where you live. But what better way to try a seed than to get it from a trusted organic source?

(OP)  90-100 days – Heirloom. Anasazi sweet corn is one of the oldest varieties still in existence.  Yes, this old variety of corn is a sweet corn, even though it looks like a flour corn.  The flavor is deliciously sweet and juicy!!  

It’s very drought resistant and doesn’t require very fertile soil to grow.  The fun thing about this corn is that it is multi-colored, with each ear producing different colors ranging from yellow and white kernels to yellow, white, pinks, blues, and purples to a few even almost all deep red…and it’s sweet and juicy, too. All of these colors add different vitamins and minerals to your diet!  It's very healthy to have a rainbow of colors in your meals each day.  The plants grow 7-8 feet tall and produce about 4 long, fat ears per plant.  

The organic seeds that come from the farm in Dufur, Ore., have been harvested from the fruits, vegetables and flowers that continue to thrive every spring and summer in the valley below Mount Hood. These are the same seeds Azure will continue to use for years to come.

Oregon Tilth has tested our corn seed for any traces of GMO, and all the tests have come back with no residues detected.

This corn was grown here on the farm in Dufur by Azure Husbandry.
