Kiss-Me-Over-The-Garden-Gate, or Prince's Feather, are an heirloom, cottage garden classic with showy, brilliant pink flowers that cascade down tall green stalks.  These "beads on a string" make beautiful fresh or dried cut flowers.  Bees, butterflies, and birds love these as well.  Young shoots can be cooked as a vegetable, and flowers and seeds can be used medicinally.  Self-sowing.  Open pollinated.

WHERE & WHEN TO PLANT: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before last spring frost, planting ¼” deep.  Keep moist and in adequate lighting.  Transplant to larger containers when needed.  When danger of frost has passed, accustom plants to outside conditions by moving seedlings to a sheltered area for a week before planting in the garden.  Plant 24-36" apart.  These plants will branch out at least 2' and grow around 7' tall.
REMARKS:  These flowers prefer a sunny, well-drained location.  Soil should be well fertilized with compost/manure.  Evenly water throughout the summer.  Flowers, young shoots, and seeds can all be used medicinally.  Self-sowing.
