Azure Husbandry Sea Shells Cosmos Seed, Organic

This cosmos flower produces a stunning array of unique tubular-shaped blossoms in colors of shell pink, deep rose, and snowy white surrounded by fine, feathery greenery.  These plants have antioxidant properties used as a traditional herbal remedy to treat jaundice, fever, and spleen health.  Deadhead for continual blooming.  Open pollinated.

WHERE & WHEN TO PLANT:  For best results, plant seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last spring frost at about 1/4" deep.  Accustom plants to outside conditions by moving seedlings to a sheltered area for a week before planting in the garden.  Can be sown outdoors after all danger of frost has passed by just lightly covering the seed with soil.  Plants should be 12 inches apart.  Water thoroughly.

REMARKS:  Cosmos like full sun and warm temperatures.  They can tolerate growing in poorer soils and with little moisture, though they grow more lush in fertile soil with adequate moisture.  Pick off old blooms to promote continual blooming.  One of the easier flowers to grow.
