AzureWell Icelandic Cod Liver Oil, sourced from pristine Icelandic codfish, is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, and retains its natural 10:1 ratio of vitamins A (retinol) and D. Whenever vitamin D is found in nature, it is accompanied with about 10 times as much vitamin A. We do not add synthetic ingredients or attempt to modify nature’s ratio.

Retinol (vitamin A) in Icelandic Cod Liver Oil is bioavailable in a form the body can easily use.  Many supplements use Beta Carotene as a vitamin A ingredient, but true vitamin A (retinol, from animal sources) has its own advantages. For one thing, the body must first convert the beta carotene to retinol (vitamin A) before the body can use it, and not everyone is able to make that conversion.  This supplement bolsters the immune system and promotes the health of vital organs such as the heart and liver.
