These deep purple berries create a surprisingly ruby red spread. We don't hold back - we throw in whole currants by the crateful, as evidenced by the nearly whole berries and texture of this spread. Black currants are best known for their perfectly balanced tart 'n' sweet taste. Many believe these little black berries originated in Poland, so we went ahead and picked ours from there.
