These empty plastic pails/buckets can serve many functions including food and water storage. FDA approved resin makes these plastic pails/buckets perfect for food storage. They have a very sturdy metal handle which pivots from the sides and has a plastic tubular handle for comfort and ease of movement. Nests into similar buckets for convenient storage when not in use.

Resin HDPE

All resin used to manufacture food grad containers meet the FDA Requirements 21 CFR 177.1520(c) 3.2a use conditions B through H per 21 CFR 176.170(c).  These regulations state that copolymer may be safely used as articles or components of articles used in packaging or holding food at low or room temperature.

Reductions of Toxics in packaging law

We certify that the regulated metals – lead, mercury, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium - were not intentionally added to any package or packaging component during the manufacturing process.

We further certify that the sum of the incidental concentration levels of lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium present in any package or package component does not exceed 100 parts per million by weight.

Bisphenol A

The HDPE resins and colorants used by BWAY Corporation’s manufacturing facilities in the production of plastic pails are free of Bisphenol A.

We are not specifically Halal or Kosher certified.  Our colorants and resins are not animal-based and do not have Stearic acid as an ingredient.

Phthalates, Phthalate Esters: Pthalates are esters of phthalic acid which are mainly used as plasticizers (substances added to plastics toincrease their flexibility, transparency, durability and longevity). Their primary use is the softening of polyvinylchloride (flexible PVC). Based upon information from our material and component suppliers, phthalates are not present in the manufacturing processes of any of the materials used in our pails, covers and drums nor are they added in any form into our manufacturing processes.

Chlorinated Plastics: BWAY does not use polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or any other chlorinated polymer material in the manufacture of our products nor do our products come in contact with chlorinated materials during their production or storage.

Recyclability: The plastic and metal components of BWAY’s plastic pails, covers are 100% recyclable. Plastic container bodies, covers, and handles are made from high density polyethylene (HDPE, recycle code “2”) and are clearly embossed with the recycle symbol shown at right. Metal (wire) handles are zinc plated steel, but are not code marked due to a lack of suitable marking surface.
